Hebrew: בַּתיָה —meaning: “daughter of Yahweh”; daughter of the Lord; worshipper of Jehovah

Bithiah was a “daughter of Pharoah.” She married an Israelite named Mered, who is a son of Ezrah of the family of Judah (1 Chronicles 4:18).

Her children included Miriam, Shammai and Ishbah the father of Eshtemoa.
