Chosen

This word is used 123 times in 119 verses in the King James Bible, and a varying number of times in other translations. For example, “chosen” is used in reference to:

Hebrew nation (Psalm 105:43; Deuteronomy 7:7)
Warriors (Exodus 15:4; Judges 20:16)
Jerusalem as the seat of the temple (1 Kings 11:13)
Christ is the “chosen” of God (Isaiah 42:1)
Apostles are “chosen” for their work (Acts 10:41).
The word “chosen” is used in regard to those who do not profit by their opportunities (“many are called, but few are chosen”) (Matthew 20:16).
