Phrygia

Greek: Φρυγία —transliteration: Phrugia —meaning: dry

This is an ancient irregular and ill-defined district in Asia Minor.

It was divided into 2 parts, Greater Phrygia on the south, and Lesser Phrygia on the west. It is Greater Phrygia that is spoken of in the New Testament (Acts 2:10; 16:6; 18:23).

• Hierapolis
• Iconium
• Laodicea

Inhabitants of Phrygia are called Phrygians.
