The premise for “Spanish for the Real World” is a race rally. The player is one of the drivers. After choosing a car, getting a driver's license, and choosing one's radio station, --all in Spanish-- one begins the journey, visiting various checkpoints until the finish line is reached. By doing all this in Spanish, the player receives a 1st year Spanish education. The game is fun and informative. The problem however is getting one's child to actually leave a mindless game and play a game that teaches. Some kids will jump at it…especially if they are failing Spanish. With others, it'll be a tough journey all the way to la meta (the finish line).
This game is an actual example of what it is like to be ambassadors for Christ. To understand people whose culture are different from us in many ways and so alike in others. It'll be a good foundation in letting children understand the importance of communication.
