RAYMAN 2: THE GREAT ESCAPEReviewed By: Caleb ThiessenVOLUNTEER GUEST REVIEWER
Genre: Action/adventure
This story takes place in a very magical world where fairies and people called teensies live. Polocus is the great spirit of this world, but he is in a dream and will not awaken until the four masks are found. Such content is the most objectional thing you will encounter. The violence is minimal with zombie chickens falling apart and throwing giant plumbs onto big dopey pirates.
The first Rayman game was a side-scroller, “Rayman 2” is 3D but still maintains a Side-scrolling feel. There are wonderful friends that help you along—people like Globox: a loveable Creature that will do rain dances to put out fires or make flowers bloom. Then there is Ly—the fairy who gives you special moves like flying with your hair or better shooting. This is one of my all-time favorite video games and you can buy it for many systems. It may be frustrating for people new to gaming because some of the later levels are quite challenging but there is nothing too difficult. If fantasy stories are not offensive to you then this game may be a good pick.Year of Release—1999 Positive—I found absolutely nothing offensive in this game. It has beautiful graphics and excellent gameplay. This was a fun game! It has a high re-play value and it's definitely one to add to any game collection. Supercedes the first Rayman with huge worlds to explore and lots of colorful levels and characters. My Ratings: [5/5]
