High Roller" is the third installment in SEGA's
Crazy Taxi franchise. “High Roller” includes the
West Coast level from the original Crazy Taxi,
the Small Apple level from Crazy Taxi 2, and an
all-new level, Glitter Oasis.
The game play is very simple; pick up customers and
get them to their destination in the fastest
amount of time. In Crazy X mode you play in
mini-games to unlock hidden items. There's a total of 12
characters to play. Graphically, the game is
lame. Small Apple is the prettiest level in the
game, but by no means is it as pretty as Halo, Dead or Alive 3, or JSR: Future.
VIOLENCE
It says on the game box that it is rated T
because of violence, I found none. You cannot run
over anyone even if you tried, because they
automatically run out of the way.
ADULT CONTENT
There are some customers in bikinis and thongs
in West Coast.
LANGUAGE
Some songs include the “S” word if I heard
correctly, and other foul language, but the “F”
word is not present.
SUPERNATURAL/OCCULT
None, but the game's mascot resembles a demon with
taxi checkers on it, but no one ever says it is.
OVERALL
A fun and addictive game, but is lacking in the graphics
department.
Year of Release—2002
