Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3. Illustration copyrighted.

Rainbow Six has had a long career in videogames and the new installment just upped the bar for realistic first person shooters.

Rainbow Six is an elite counter terrorist group made of multiple squads. You take on the role of Domingo Chavez, squad leader for Alpha team. You and your three squad mates have been selected for a variety of missions that range from hostage rescue to covert intel gathering. One of the main draws is the ability to control your squad with voice control (with Xbox communicator). Just issue any one of over 100 commands and your team will resond accordingly.

Some of the offensive material would be the fact that you are taking human life. The fact that they are terrorists and are threatening other lives may make this easier to take but the fact remains. Another downside is some very brief language (I counted three light swears). Xbox live is a whole other matter where STRONG language is rampant through the entire match.

On the whole this is an excellent adult title with a lot of eye candy such as thermal vision and ragdoll physics for the terrorists. The violence is strong but this is a worthwhile title for any Xbox owner.
