Here’s what the distributor says about their film: “Dreamcatcher”, based on Stephen King’s best-selling novel, tells of four young friends who perform a heroic act and are changed forever by the uncanny powers they gain in return. Years later the friends, now men, are on a hunting trip in the Maine woods when they are overtaken by… a vicious storm in which something much more ominous moves. In the end, the friends confront an unparalleled horror, with the fate of the world in the balance.

Negative—…This is a truly stupid, disgusting film… There’s no reason on God’s green earth to see this movie…

Negative—I took my 16-year-old son and his 17-year-old friend to see this movie thinking it would be a thriller. I got so uncomfortable in the theatre because of the naked women and foul language that we walked out midway through. I had no desire to find out what happened in the end, although the boys were disappointed to have to leave because their curiosity was piqued. Sorry I wasted my money.

Negative—This movie features sci-fi fun with the normal immoral reality found in in a rated R world. It was a bloody movie at times, but the violence was not as graphic as it was gorey. The extra human powers in the movie were not cultic but extraterestrial, so I can’t give it a bad grade there.
