Here’s what the distributor says about their film: A Jewish-American Princess is forced to take control of a hard-core hip-hop record label and tries to rein the one of the label’s most controversial rappers.
When renegade hip-hop artist Dr. S (Damon Wayans) releases a controversial CD, a national protest and a congressional investigation breaks out. Smeared by the press, the owner of the rapper’s record label, Manhattan media magnate Ben Feld (Richard Benjamin), is so stressed out he has to be hospitalized.
But Ben’s pampered daughter Marci (Lisa Kudrow), who has never set foot in the business world, shows some surprising spunk and a true talent for more than shopping and hosting charity fundraisers. Determined to salvage her father’s reputation, Marci stands up to Dr. S and tries to town down his bad-boy edge as she fends off the hostile media and the ultraconservative Senator Spinkle (Christine Baranski), who are determined to humble Dr. S and ruin Marci’s father in the process.
