Here’s what the distributor says about their film: “Once told they’d save the universe during a time-traveling adventure, 2 would-be rockers from San Dimas, California find themselves as middle-aged dads trying to crank out a hit song and fulfill their destiny.
Now enduring the monotony of middle-aged life, William ‘Bill’ S. Preston, Esq. (Alex Winter) and Theodore ‘Ted’ Logan (Keanu Reeves) are warned by a visitor from the future of the need for them to create a song in 78 minutes that will save all life on Earth and the entire universe. The pair work with their families, old friends, famous musicians, and each other to complete the task.”
Prequels: “Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure” (1988), “Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey” (1991) —both rated PG

Some of the characters travel in time and historical figures get moved in time. In this sequence, they include Jesus, and while not overtly made to be offensive, this could bother people.
Another concern is a non-human character that is suicidal. The scene is meant to be funny and does not feel heavy, as the character is not human, but I am guessing this scene is the reason they gave the movie a PG-13 rating when it feels like a PG movie.
Overall, though, as an adult this movie made me laugh a lot. I have never even seen the previous Bill and Ted movies, and I still was able to enjoy this one.
