The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe

Awarded an Emmy for its outstanding animation and positive message, this high quality production of C.S. Lewis' famous novel includes great voice actors and full orchestration. As the first story in Lewis' acclaimed Chronicles of Narnia book series, “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe” is an allegory of four children who discover a mysterious passageway through a wardrobe closet into the world of “Narnia,” a land of talking animals and other mystical creatures.

This story is beautiful and heartwarming in the believability of its symbolism, designed by Lewis to remind viewers of Jesus' atoning death and resurrection, and what He has promised He will do in the future (vanquish Satan and his followers). Children love to view this one again and again. Be prepared, however, that preschoolers with tender sensitivities may want to snuggle up close during a couple of slightly intense sequences. Nothing objectionable. Highly recommended!
