Veggie Tales: Rack, Shack and Benny

What a great way to present the Old Testament story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego! While Rack, Shack, and Benny are just a few of the funny characters (all of whom are played by animated vegetables!) others contribute to make this a very enjoyable episode. Why, even the bad guy Mr. Nezzer ends up singing!

A great Biblical lesson is gleaned from this episode: Stand up for what you know is right, even if it is hard to do and all your peers are doing what is wrong! This veggie-threesome do just that, and are blessed by God for it!

Here’s the plot: Mr. Nezzer is a greedy old geezer who owns a huge chocolate factory which produces “the bunny.” He seems to drive the workers pretty hard but decides to let the workers eat as many bunnies as they want to celebrate their manufacturing of the 2 millionth chocolate bunny! This gives our garden trio an opportunity to rely on a lesson taught to them by their parents “Don’t eat too much candy!” Later, Mr. Nezzer is so enthralled with his bunnies, he decides to construct a HUGE bunny and have every worker worship it. He even makes a song for people to sing. Too bad it puts the bunny first in all things. Again, another opportunity for our musical trio to stand up for what they know to be right. This is a must see!

The computer animation is excellent! The music is terrific! In particular, the lyrics are well-written and hold much wisdom.
