Show Synopsis: (from the producer) Jill Hennessy (NBCs "Law & Order") returns to series television starring in this edgy, one-hour drama as Dr. Jordan Cavanaugh, a sexy, brilliant and fearless Boston medical examiner with a checkered career—and a penchant for going beyond the call of duty to investigate crimes.
After striking out in Los Angeles, the headstrong Jordan returns to her Boston hometown and her former job with the Massachusetts State Coroners Office. There she reunites with her ex-cop father, Max (Ken Howard, "The White Shadow"), who's still haunted by the unsolved murder of his wife, who was Jordans mother. This tragic incident shapes Jordans empathy with the voiceless victims she encounters as she channels her inner anger towards piecing together complex murder cases that have been hidden, shoved aside or conveniently forgotten…
There is a bit of blood and gore, and occasionally a killer is on the lose, providing highly thematic elements. Surprisingly, this show has steered pretty clear of gratuitous sexuality. For older teens and adults, this show is great- preteens might enjoy it, but should watch with their parents.
