Usually Okay—This show borderlines at times, but the whole idea is: "What if the old cartoon characters were put into today's setting?" The Animaniacs are supposed to be “forgotten” Warner Bros. cartoon characters, making their name known in today's world. Naturally, the old cartoon wisecracks fly thicker than bullets in whatever they do, but they also fit them in with a modern twist.
The other characters of Slappy Squirrel (from the old school of mallet-whackers, and Pinky and The Brain (who successfully started their own series) complement the wackyness of this cartoon. The only things I didn't like about the cartoon series as a whole, were the Katie Ka-BOOM toons (when the show started hitting its low points), and the Rita and Runt cartoons. (Come on, we want gags, not songs!) As for the Warner Siblings themselves, (Yakko, Wakko, and Dot), they have some pretty great sketches.
I didn't like the one that parodied Noah’s Ark, or the Sistene Chapel (because of some questionable comments on the paintings).
In all, this series is aimed at teens or adults who can appreciate the slapstick comedy of yesteryear. A must see for comedy fans!
