Sabrina, The Teenage Witch

Avoid—This is a show about being a witch and practicing witchcraft. If you recommend to avoid “Charmed,” then you should recommend to avoid this show.

Avoid—I have to confess I used to watch this 'children's program' before I was saved (and even in the early years of my faith). Now I think that believers should avoid it at all costs. This program portrays witchcraft and occult activity as trendy and even “liberating” for teen age girls in this age of “Girl Power” (please note, Charmed, Buffy, the Vampire Slayer, The Craft) Just because a program is aired during prime time or day time, it does not mean that it is acceptable for believers to watch.

Avoid at all costs!

Caution—When this show first came out there was a humongous debate between many of the Christians I know on whether they should let their kids (and themselves) watch it. This show does show “witches.” In one episode it showed Sabrina's aunts meditating through yoga. But this is a basically good show, and much better than other shows aimed at the same audience. The show is portrayed as a comedy, a laugh. That's basically it, and it shows what happens when you disobey authority, and the consequences as well.

This is a show, that adults, teens, and children can all watch & understand, unlike many of the shows on at this time with tons of profanity.
