Who is…
Clement in the Bible
Greek: Κλήμης —transliteration: Klémés —derivation: κλέος (kleos) which means glory or fame
This is a true Christian man of the city of Philippi, Paul’s “fellow-laborer,” whose name he mentions as “in the book of life.” It is likely that Clement was well known in the Church, a leader or ministry worker, and was influential in spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Indeed, I ask you also, genuine companion, help these women who have contended together alongside of me in the gospel, with also Clement and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life. —Phil. 4:3
