This is an idolatrous object, seen in a vision given by God to the prophet Ezekiel (Ezek. 8:3, 5).
It stood in the priests’ or inner court of the Holy Temple.
It is probably identical with the statue of Asherah (Astarte) (2 Kings 21:7).
