Jearim in the Bible

Hebrew: יְעָרִים —transliteration: Yearim —meaning: forests or woods

This is a mountain on the border of the Tribe of Judah where there is a landmark city on a hill called Chesalon.

Then the border turned about from Baalah westward to Mount Seir and continued to the slope of Mount Jearim on the north (that is, Chesalon) and went down to Beth-shemesh and continued through Timnah. —Joshua 15:10
